kimokawaii

kimokawaii = kimoi + kawaii.
kimoi = kimochi warui, which means something is nasty/gross/disgusting/unappealing.
kawaii = cute, as you all know...

when both are put together, it is used to describe something which is something not particularly pretty/beautiful, yet cute (thanks fangyi), one of the many slangs jap youths use.

so anyway, last nite watched corpse bride, which was really kinda kimokawaii... a nice but kinda sad story... sigh... feel so sad for emily... i think she's nicer than victoria leh...

that aside, here's something else that is really kimokawaii as well... a guy named Michael Paulus drew skeletal frames of cartoon characters based on how they look like... and the results are soooo weird but cute!! haha... here are some of them...
