more about my weekend...
besides the cheering stuff, had quite an eventful weekend.
after the game on saturday, i went out with some mates (they went to watch the baseball game too) to ikebukuro to do some shopping... and to expend the 2 free tickets to the aquarium there, given to me by my jap teacher as a reward for making the least mistakes in homework for a 1-month period :p
highlight of the day: bikini fashion show, featuring the asahi (i think) model of the year (years actually, cos they got their models-of-years from different years). my gosh, the bikini models here are really those made-in-heavens kind, those kind that have everything going for them.... darn, if i am a gal, i will be pretty envious of them...
although there are guards patrolling about preventing ppl other than press to take pictures, i still managed to sneak in some not-too-fantastic photos... ah well better than nothing i guess. (photos later, i know you guys wanna see :p)
after having dinner at denny's we headed back.
as for sunday, tsu tsen unexpectedly came to the game with his japanese colleague kawano (川野) and so after the game, i went for lunch with them. kawano brought us to the nearby curry museum (rather famed one in japan, i must add), to have some fine curry. we chose the stall that serves supposedly the spiciest curry in the museum (which was pakistani, btw) and that plate of rice plus 3 small slices of chicken (think 20 cents' size and thickness) costed us 1000 yen (15.60 SGD)...
"I'm going to kill someone if this is all" -quote from tsu tsen when his order was served to him.
no at the end he didn't kill anyone... ;p
and the best bit? i think the curry tastes almost identical to the one in matsuya (松屋) that i have been eating pretty often. and that has more chicken in it. and that costs only 390 yen (6 SGD)...
ok lah... for the experience mah ;) poor kawano ate until his tears/mucus/everything flowing... hehe... the curry was a little spicy for me and TT, so i guess it was super spicy for the average japanese.
anyway, after which, we went to a batting station in yokohama (i initially heard betting, thought they wanna go gamble or something). yup those places where you can really bat a ball that is hurled to you by machines... they have baseball, tennis, soccer, archery, table tennis, golf, (basketball too at most centres, but not this one) as well...
we had some tries at the baseball batting, probably inspired by the baseball game earlier on... afterwhich TT tried his hand (leg, rather) on the soccer shooting one... we then proceeding for 30 mins of ping pong action... all in all, very fun, the only complaint? open air, so no air-con in a sweltering day.... (plus exercise, so you can imagine how hot we were feeling)....
afterwhich came home, eat dinner, then internet down... dun feel like playing game (one of the rare times), so slept early at ard 1030...
and now work... sigh...
looking forward to the next weekend again ;)
