...friday, saturday, sunday...
writing the title for this post reminds me of some irritating song by some cute taiwanese singer i recently saw in an episode of 我猜 (a very good taiwanese variety show that i, err, download to watch in japan ;p)... trust me, the song is damn duh!
anyways, this post is not about the duh-song... rather is about the rather duh-weekend that went by....
as i was saying in my blog last friday, friday was our supposed company anniversary, so we had half-day... we went for karaoke after lunch, and i paid 840 yen (13 SGD) for 4 hours of ktv with 1 drink... we got a super ookii room too, cos i think weekdays really not much ppl go ktv... ;)
afterwhich, we went to catch a movie (that's right, i skipped practice... feel so bad...), and i made the fatal mistake of checking out War of the Worlds... if ever steven spielberg has made a disastrous movie, this has to be the worst. well, i wouldn't even try reviewing the movie like i did for batman ends begins... cos it basically sucked too much... the only movie i watched in japan so far that i will fail unhesitatingly.
ah well, at least the CGI was good (not that i care very much for it). it's a pure waste of my fav gal actress, dakota fanning's talents (of cos she acted well, that's but of cos)... tom cruise, well... as usual, nothing much to his acting (same in every movie)... he and his wife-to-be somehow have the knack of acting in overhyped sucky movies... ;p
saturday was quite uneventful... tried to wake up late, but failed due to my brother-in-law's phone call (at 11+)... so ended up waking up early (ard 12) and started playing my ps2... and irritatingly, my ps2 refused to start up some newer games that i have (gta san andreas, mgs3, old games to some out there, but new to me) so i got stuck playing my phantom brave... sigh... seems nothing will go fine lately...
went to get lunch and do some grocery shopping for dinner, and then cooked chicken rice for dinner... i expert ok? never heard of Fatty Wong's Chicken Rice?? watched lindsey vs venus live, but couldn't bare to continue watching at the final set... darn the venus, if only lindsey was fit... sigh... did i already mention that nothing's going fine lately?
sunday-wise, went out early to meet up with eric, me bro-in-law, for breakfast, a little bit of shopping and lunch... brought him to harajuku and we had sushi for lunch (yum yum), he had to leave at 230 pm cos his flight was ard 630... and i feel quite guilty not sending him off to the airport (to and fro more than 4 hours leh!!), and so i went to church to repent...
joke lah.. haha, but seriously, i went to church after seeing him off at hibiya-line's roppongi station platform. i was slightly late (ard 20 mins), but managed to catch the last song and a half of the worship and praise segment. it felt good going back to church after such a long time... hoping i can go more regularly on sundays, and not let the lazy-demon bog me down...
afterwhich, went back dorm, watch another old episode of 我猜 during dinner (which we prepared as well), and then wimbledon finals...
woohoo!!! federer straight sets! finally, he made my day (make that my weekend)... did you guys see his frightfully thin left arm everytime he serves? he needs to eat more man... and be more like me... hehe... (then other players will have more chance lol)
