ひな祭

today is ひな祭 (hina matsuri), or doll festival. according to my fren yuko, it is a festival for all gals who are unmarried, though i dunno what the older ones do during this day... haha..

hina matsuri (notice the tiers of dolls in the background)

according to a website, it says that "Hinamatsuri or Doll Festival is celebrated throughout the country. A set of Hina-Ningyo dolls and miniature household articles, arranged on a tier of shelves, is displayed in a living room of practically every home blessed with young daughters."

in the hinamatsuri celebration i went for last sunday, i saw the tiers of dolls displayed first hand... its pretty cool, but pretty spooky as well... well imagine a whole lot of chuckys at nite with ashened faces and all... haha...

anyway to all you little gals out there, ひな祭おめでとうごさいます!!

worse thing about this festival, however, is...... there is no holiday.... #$%#$
